I remember my mom driving me, Leah, & Deanie (my bffs) to Silverlake for Rilo Kiley shows on school nights, so I feel a moral obligation to point out that Lily Allen’s new “It’s Not Fair” video shamelessly bites off Jenny Lewis’ “Rise up with Fists”. They do both look suuuper cute in their respective videos though.

I guess this is Lily’s game, but come on, play nice.

This is the final product for the video I worked on for my BFF/Roommate/Rapper Rob Roy. Some of you may remember how hectic this shoot was for me, but so far the response has been super positive – so it was worth it. The concept (by Director Ethan Lader) is pretty friggin fantastic, and I can’t wait to see (and show you) the finished product.

The shoot itself was hectic as hell. I was running on empty from working on 4 significant projects and close to zero sleep. Murphy’s law was enacted, anything that could go wrong definitely did, but in the end I got to practice my problem solving skills like woah and everything turned out well in the end.

More pics from the day may trickle in (didn’t have a chance to take any myself), but let’s just say my face in this picture speaks volumes:

Me, an Aussie, and a model who was also featured on COACD (I know how to pick ‘em!). This one was tougher… no one wanted to be all sweaty on camera (including myself). Thanks a lot heat wave. But we still had fun! xo Jazzi

PS – I’m not crazy about my bangs (I have a tendency to cut my hair out of stress/boredom)… I give them 2 weeks before they’re gone haha.

Oh and answer me this! I’ve been craving birthday cake for 2 days. Would it be totally weird to buy myself a birthday cake, then eat it alone, and not on my birthday?

If you’ve been “following” me on Twitter, you probably knew this was coming. And if not, well, now you know.

I’m “hosting” the revival of What’s in Your Bag on Fashionista.com… I was hesitant, nervous, and still feel pretty awkward about it, but all in all, I think I did an OKAY job – especially considering I haven’t been on camera much (since I’m typically behind it) and we went into it not knowing what exactly we were doing.

I’m excited for the next video, which we are filming Sunday. Since we learned a lot from our mistakes on this one – it should be WAY better. If any of you want to drop by, I’ll let you know what corner we’ll be stationed at!

My good friend Grayson Kelly (film major at NYU, and ex-bf from like 9th grade) filmed and edited, and of course I used music by HeavyRoc’s the Knocks & Skeet.

My notes from my boss/friend Natalie at Fashionista:

  • go more in depth into their bags, really get in there
  • hold up the contents longer/clearer
  • love the music!
  • let’s do 3 people per video next time

My notes for myself:

  • all of Natalie’s notes
  • don’t say “awesome” or “cool” – seriously, never uttering those words again.
  • get THEM to talk more
  • get my bangs out of my face
  • more puppies!
  • fix myself less – but it’s honestly hard not to (also, my dress kept falling off, so i was trying to avoid a “wardrobe malfunction”…)
