So about 3 days after ordering these, YSL called to say they were sold out in the US in my size (38) and they’re really sorry but would I like them in nude or grey? No way Jose said I, but I heard they ran a tad small so I asked for a 38.5, and they managed to track down the VERY last pair of 38.5′s in the US and had them overnighted from the Hawaii store and here they are! Yessssssssss!
It was raining out today (in LA!? NO!) so I couldn’t take these out for a test run – pun intended – but since I did stay in all day, I had time for this cheesy stop motion video!

So after posting that my DREEEAM YSL Imperiale pumps were on sale, Santa heard my cry and came early in the form of my mommy! We’re not so big on the whole surprise element of holiday gift giving; instead we pretty much discuss and pick something the other probably wouldn’t get themselves otherwise. And for me, this was it! Gaga has been rocking them hard and looking amazing, which made them that much more irresistible.
As if that weren’t good enough, I got a second pair of dream shoes (this time, a special gift from myself to myself for accomplishing a TBA goal! go me!). I’ve had my eye on these Balenciaga loafers for almost 3 years to the day, after seeing this pic of Mary-Kate Olsen sporting them. I abstained from the Acne Atacoma Army (though don’t get me wrong, all you bloggers look hot in them!) and continued to hold out for these. I finally found them 3 years later for less than 1/2 the original price AND MAGICALLY IN MY SIZE. There was only one left and I would have kicked myself forever if I passed them up.
These 2 shoes are basically me in shoe form. I’ve been on a serious high all night since clicking ‘confirm order’ and I am soooo happy. I haven’t felt so spoiled in a while. Now I will anxiously await UPS and take pics/review as soon as they both arrive! Happy holidays indeed!
My friends over at Friend of Mine (who I will post about soon!) have an awesome pair similar to the Balenciaga’s in black coming out in March!!! Can’t wait for those either. And is it totally fucking crazy that I’m still considering the Dolce Vita lookalikes as an “everyday” shoe? (don’t answer that.)

Loving my new Jeffery Campbell boots. Got them last week at Intermix in Malibu. Because of a blackout on PCH, I got there about 10 minutes after they closed, but after one killer sad puppy face, the amazing sales staff let me in anyway! After-hours shopping with a Malibu view made these shoes feel THAT much more special. Yeah, yeah, they’ll never be these, but they will absolutely do until that $625 grows on trees. I’ve been wearing them every day with everything since then.
Oh, and to anyone still crying over not getting those Sam Edleman Balenciaga knock-offs before they sold out, I’m calling it now: these are the new those. They’ve already sold out on Shopbop, Revolve, and others. David Z and Intermix still have a couple sizes. So if you’re into them, get a pair asap, because you know they will be triple the price on ebay in 5…4…3…2…
