Rodarte for Target Leopard Lace Bow Dress, Tulle Bow Dress, YSL Imperiale pumps, Mom’s necklace
As a big Rodarte AND Target fan, I was prepared to do some serious Target-hopping this morning to get my hands on at least 1 of these two dresses.
Lucky for me, I found the entire collection in a nice range of sizes on my first stop (at one of the less picked-over locations in West LA… big hint: Culver City). I knew these two were a must for me. The leopard dress makes me feel all Pebbles Flintstone and I love the bow on the back. And I haven’t had the static issues others seem to be having with the tulle dress, however I am debating cutting it up and making it into a mesh crop top… we’ll see how that one turns out.
As for the rest – my expectations are low for any mass produced diffusion line so, for the price, I don’t bother complaining much about fabrics or fit. I’m generally happy to find even one awesome piece – so I’m really happy with these 2 dresses and the sequin skull dress (which I also grabbed). But I do plan on taking these over to my tailor for a hemline chop (tucked under above).

Opening Ceremony jacket, Target hat, Forever 21 jeans, Jeffery Campbell boots
Anyone else snag anything good?? What was the stock like at your local Target? Reactions to the collection in person?
Oh, and I was definitely one of those assholes this time… I impulsively bought one or two of all the key pieces, since I’ve regretted not doing so in the past and watching the prices skyrocket on eBay. After seeing shit sell out after day 1, I couldn’t help myself.
to be continued…

I can’t figure out if the leopard dress is blinged out or if my eyes are insane. I’m so into it. The black dress is precious and sits so much better than the cream one [from what I've heard/seen on real people]
I luffff you hair, can’t wait to seeeeee you in a few days.
The dresses are amazing.. BUT holy shoes!!!! This post made me wish I had gotten up early and gone to Target. That leopard dress would be fun times on my birthday.
Love your picks, and your shoes! I bought the leopard dress in person a few days ago (it was put out on the floor wayyy early at my Target), and last night I ordered the wrap dress, the tights, and the knee high socks. Still contemplating ordering the light blue dress, as it’s one of the few things still in stock at target.com, and it’ll probably be gone by tomorrow morning!
Everyone’s going ga-ga for Target’s Rodarte. I feel like I’m missing out! Maybe I should take advantage of the Target at Atlantic Center…
@ Julia – the leopard dress isn’t blinged out, but it’s leopard printed on lace, which does make it kind of awesomely trippy. can’t wait to see you either!!
I love your new header– i find myself always plopping down in the fashion books aisle of my library :)
i can’t wait to check out the rodarte pieces at my target, i hope they’re not too terribly picked over; yours look so cute on you!
The second dress looks so fun! :D

amaaaaaaazing, doll! xo
Those pieces are so cute.
I found a “leather” jacket with diamond cuts at H&M, along with stone washed high-waist skinny jeans with zippers at the legs, and a pair of gray and black high-waist flooded dress pants. I was so excited.
First up: Fantastic blog. :)
And then the comment…
Sadly, in Norway, there is no such thing as Target. Believe me, I wish there was… I lived one year in the US, and went completely bananerz every time I set foot in said awesomeness of a store.
…so, no Rodarte for me, less I shell out on eBay. Which I might.
We’ll see.
:)
(Hi, by the way. I’ve been reading this blog for a couple of weeks now.)
Since, you know, I live in Nowheresville South Florida I was able to see most of the collection over the past weekend. I considered the tulle dress! It’s so pretty, but I kinda wanted the gold.
I’m also srsly considering the golden skirt with the tulle. I don’t really wear a lot of colors, so, I’m wondering if I’d just look ridic.
I am obsessed with the leopard dress—hoping to find it in Brooklyn or Harlem target, fingers crossed xx.
Very curious about the rumoured swimsuit…
I love the photos! Who’s taking them? You’re soooooo cute & rad, I wish wish wish I got to see you more often! Hope you have happy holidays lovely. xoxoxoxo
Loving the whimsical tulle dress! It’s so i-don’t-give-a-shh and that’s what makes it so awesome!

Awesome outfits! I love it. You’re so cute.
I love the Tulle Bow dress! I’ll have to hit up my Target and see if it’s in stock. :D
You look fantastic. I grabbed that slip-inspired tulle-covered skirt in navy blue, and I really like it. But now you’re making me think a second Target trip is in order!
Wow that black dress is amazing! Love it on you and also love the leopard dress.
Unfortunaely we don’t have Target here so I couldn’t get my hands on anything.

I’m hoping to snag that black tulle dress….& your jacket is the most gorgeous piece of clothing ever…its so different.
I purchased the sheer pink tulle top with the bows on the neck and sleeves. I really wanted the leopard print dress buuuut my legs were too long for it. The dress barely covered my booty!
