I can’t remember exactly when I had a vision of crushed velvet OTK socks, but I was obsessed with finding them ever since. Sockdreams (pun unintended), my usual go-to for all things legwear, failed me on this one. Sometime between scouring shady ebay listings, shadier online sexwear shops, and every unsavory e-retailer in between, I remembered the local dance store my mom took me to in my younger-er years. It’s one of those costume shops that tends to have everything, albeit packed so densely you’re lucky to find anything.
I found them tucked in a corner, behind some other things, looking sad, neglected and calling my name. Totally worth the $15 and sales lady who obviously hates her job (and felt the need to take it out on me).
Mission accomplished.

OOOOhhhhhh those velvety thighs,,,to die for!
I love this diy…totally looks like all of the looks on the runways, at sooo much of a lower price…excellent score! I love your blog and only now am just signing in- but it’s beautiful! keep up the great work! :)
Cute! Why is it that 90% of sock retailers are super shady sex shops I’m terrified of giving my credit card number to, but they always have great stockings and socks.
Oh wow. I’m lost for all words except “I want”.
Who would’ve thought that velvet (of all fabrics) would look so chic!?! Lovin’ the DIY skills, as always :)
BRILLIANT. seriously. Sorry but I gotta copy this!
Love them and now want them! I performed a search and they are sold out online or at somewhere sketchy that I refuse to use my CC.
this is off topic but they opened an Alice in Wonderland themed lounge in Hollywood, thought you might like it :)
