Likely due to the fact that I started posting more pictures of myself, I’ve been getting some questions about what beauty products I use, which I couldn’t be happier to discuss!
I’m a product junkie, straight up. However, I am not a label junkie, so most of my fixes come from the drug store, my fridge, or tried and true “stuff that works”.
Background: I’d have to double check with my Mom on this, but I *think* my first love in fashion was makeup. I remember sneaking and putting on her makeup (and fibbing about it, sorry Mom!) at a pretty young age. That turned into my very first “real” job ever, as a “beauty consultant” (read: sales girl) at Pure Beauty (RIP) in LA, CA, then to my first “real” internships – as Beauty Intern at Teen Vogue under two of my favorite people ever, Holly Siegel and Eva Chen, and Beauty Intern at Siren PR in NYC.
I’ve done makeup for countless theater productions, friends, family, and a short stint as a Makeup Artist at Sephora in NYC.
Face: Oil Cleansing Method (amazing & great for every skin type, especially oily skin like mine!) with Bio Oil
Foundation: MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 in NW45
Liner: MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder + Vincent Longo Liquid Liner
Mascara: Maybelline Volum’ Express or Dior Show Blackout, depending on my wallet.
Curler: Tarte Eyelash Curler (better than Shu Uemura, and cheaper)
Brows: LORAC Take a Brow Powder if I feel like it
Lips: Sugar Scrub with Sugar + Vaseline , Chapstick or Carmex
Body: Sabon NYC Body Oil in Amber, Hempz Lotion, Bio Oil, or whatever else is around – but I obsessively moisturize!
Hair: Confession – my hair is fake (shh!), but I still use Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo, Carol’s Daughter, and/or Ojon’s Hair Treatment (amazing!) and I cut my own hair/bangs.

ps – I would also suggest water, but I’m so terrible at that… I hate water.

I am a random reader, and I am so glad that you posted all of your beauty tips!
my question is, what brand of hair do you use and what method (glued, sew in, etc) because your hair always looks SO nice
I always wondered how your hair looks so god damn good all the time!

For the answers to those questions, you’re welcome to email me. I don’t quite want to put all my business out there?

My hair does not look “so damn good” all the time. PROMISE.
aquaphor! it works miracles. i miss you!!
yes! someone else who uses shadow as liner (i’ve been doing that for a few years now– so much softer that a pencil!)
so jazzi I need some advice. I’m trying to get as much experience under my belt as possible. Since i’m a floridian I was thinking about volunteering at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. What is the volunteering experience like? Is it something worth participating in? (I know its not going to be anything like NY Fashion Week but, its a start).
Thanks!
Feel free to email me a response!

jazzi’s the best make up artist ever!! aaah i miss having you make me up for everything we used to go to together :)
can’t wait to see you in july!
la la love you
I don’t know if its too personal asking about hair but….are you natural under there? I ask because I’m natural and want to try a weave(?) but most hair ppl say I have to hot comb hair framing my face and leave it out. I was just wondering if you had any input on that or if all my hair can be put under there andit looks fine? TIA :)
Ooh, so this is why you made that note! I was by the sink the other day and I thought you wrote me a message, haha! :)
i have a question. Do you mix the bio-oil with another when doing the oil-cleansing method? your skin looks fab by the way!
Im going to love you forever for recommending this bio oil product.
