I totally agree with you on male style. As much as I love pieces that are “out there” for myself, I like seeing a man in classic no-nonsense pieces— a well-made button down shirt, a nice wool overcoat, dark jeans. I’m also a sucker for cuff links on a guy— it shows they went that extra step to look nice.
