Confession: I have a very musical family, and I used to have ambitions of being a singer, but… I’d prefer music as my hobby, not my job.

I’ve always gotten along best with musical people (see; my bffs – all singers, my ex’s, heavyroc). They’re fun to bounce ideas off of, and I like watching others live out that (not so) secret part of me. I satisfy my cravings by performing with friends whenever I can, did theatre in high school, and writing songs that no one will ever hear… and of course, listening to tons of music.

So, I officially introduce to you Rob Roy.

He’s Erykah Badu approved (OMG), super cute, raps about Gold & Gucci in an ironic way, and made it into heavy rotation on my itunes, which is hard to do. He first blew me a way with his voice, then his music, then most recently – his ~mind~. He’s an articulate guy (though admittedly, sometime I don’t even know what he’s saying on a track – mostly because it’s some kind of southern slang) and even compared his music to Picasso’s painting style – and it made perfect sense. Wish I could regurgitate it here… ask Rob, lol. He’ll be reading this.

He even won over my Mom at breakfast at Roscoe’s in LA :)
