I met Candace while interning at Vogue. (I feel like I should note that this was BIG Vogue, not Teen. I love Teen Vogue, so I’m okay with forever being branded as a former ‘Teen Vogue Intern’).
She’s a super talented actress/singer, with a love of Britney Spears, and an infectious love of adventure and life. She got me through a tough breakup, deep depression (that she wasn’t even aware of), many a rough day, a transitional period of being back in LA and having few friends, internship woes, etc. Basically, she helped me survive. That’s out friendship. We help each other. Bottom line – I love her!
Enough of the sob story…
So what did I get in the mail the other day?? Only the BEST GIFT EVER (rivaled only by my Alice snow globe from Leah years and years ago)… Two Alice books, one from Christmas 1923!!! I was SO happy.
And after flipping through, I picked my next tattoo! [Alice, from the last picture below]
